Dorothy Hodgkin Fellowship - Royal Society

This scheme is for outstanding scientists in the UK at an early stage of their research career. The fellowship is open to both sexes but it offers a flexibility that is particularly attractive to women.

Sir Henry Dale Fellowship - Royal Society

This scheme is for outstanding post-doctoral scientists wishing to build their own UK-based, independent research career addressing an important biomedical question. Grant-holders are entitled to take the full period of maternity, paternity, adoptive or extended sick leave as provided by their employing institution.

Rosalind Franklin Award - Royal Society

This award is open to both sexes, however the recipient of the award is expected to spend a proportion of the grant on implementing a project to raise the profile of women in STEM in their host institution and/or field of expertise in the UK. 

SUSTAIN - The Academy of Medical Sciences

SUSTAIN is a programme for women researchers to thrive in their independent research careers. It provides an innovative programme of training and support to develop participants’ leadership and career potential.
