The Department of Endocrinology is a component of Barts & the London, Queen Mary, University of London, and is based at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London. The Department combines both laboratory and clinical research with a large, diverse adult and paediatric clinical service. The Endocrine Unit deals with a diverse range of endocrine disorders, there is a particular interest in neuroendocrinology (pituitary tumours, prolactinomas, acromegaly, Cushing's disease, craniopharyngiomas etc), neuroendocrine tumours such as phaeochromocytomas and carcinoids, and genetic endocrine disorders. Out-patient clinics are held at St Bartholomew's Hospital, the Royal London Hospital and the Homerton Hospital.
