The Genome Centre offers a complete DNA sequencing service.
BigDye 3.1 chemistry with visualization on the ABI 3730 automated DNA sequencer, is used to generate read lengths up to 850 base pairs.
Additional services include primer design and contig construction, with data analysis and quality control using the Phred/Phrap/Consed suite of software developed by the University of Washington.
Our DNA sequencing service operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Samples delivered by 5pm the previous day will have data returned before noon the following day.
