Noval Spinal Cord Protein

Professor J. Martin

We have data from antibody staining experiments which identifies a novel series of structures in the spinal cord. These structures may be the target of some of the sensory neuropathies and neurodegenerative disorders seen in man. The aim of this project is to identify what proteins are recognised by the antibody in this area of the spinal cord. This will be achieved using techniques including protein electrophoresis, mass spectrometry, and immunohistochemistry.
