Welcome to the Centre of Risk For Health Care Research and Practice
Never before has it been so important for clinical teams to be alert for signals that point them in the direction of risk. Risk Management involves balancing the cost of risk or the consequences of such exposure against the cost of risk reduction.
The Purpose of the centre is to develop an appreciation of risk involved in healthcare research and practice.
Specifically the objectives are:
- To educate clinicians and academics in the risks associated with clinical research
- To develop an understanding of clinical risk management in undergraduate medical students.
“Risk Management is about identifying potential variations from what we plan and managing these to maximise opportunity, improve decisions, outcomes and minimise loss”
