Genetic studies of diabetes
Grahma Hitman at the Royal London Hospital has been carrying out linkage
and association studies to identify genes involved in the susceptibility
to type 2 diabetes and I sometimes him assist him with these analyses.
We have published papers supporting the involvement of the gene for the
vitamin D receptor and of a region on
chromosome 2.
