Genetic studies of ischaemic heart disease

Adam Timmis and Graham Hitman at the Royal London Hospital have recruited a sample of Bengali men who have suffered myocardial infarction at a very early age. We suspect that they may have especially strong genetic risk factors and we are carrying out case-control association studies in an attempt to identify the genes involved.
